I bought this washer a few months ago and I am very happy with it. It has a large capacity of 5.0 cu. ft. that can fit a lot of clothes towels and bedding. It also has a variety of cycles and options to choose from depending on the type and amount of laundry I have. The 6Motion technology uses different motions to agitate the clothes and remove dirt and stains effectively. The washer is also very quiet and energy-efficient which I appreciate. Some of the features that I like are the auto detergent dispenser which automatically dispenses the right amount of detergent for each load the deep fill option which allows me to add extra water for heavily soiled items and the end-of-cycle signal which lets me know when the wash is done. The washer also has a stainless steel tub which is durable and easy to clean. The only downside that I can think of is that the washer is quite tall so I have to bend down to reach the bottom of the tub. This might be an issue for some people who have back problems or are shorter than me. However this is not a deal-breaker for me as I can use a stool or a grabber tool to get the clothes out. Overall I would recommend this washer to anyone who is looking for a high-quality high-efficiency and high-capacity top-load washer. It does a great job of cleaning my clothes and has many features that make it convenient and user-friendly. It is also reasonably priced for its performance and quality.

So far so good with this washing machine. We bought this LG product because of the quality and performance of the LG refrigerator that we purchased several years ago. Washing clothes is much easier now because this machine doesnt go off-balance on the spin cycle and has a digital display of the time in minutes remaining for completion of the load. It is quiet and efficient. Even plays a nice tune when the wash is done.

Clothing Doesnt Smell Clean

I purchased the flat bottom top load because my old top load machine did the job for 33 years and my clothes always came out clean and fresh. This is one of the highest rated machines on the market but it doesnt get my laundry clean. A coworker also purchased the same machine during the same week and she has the same complaints. The machine decides how much water its going to use so its very difficult to know how much detergent to use. Due to allergies I use unscented liquid laundry detergent instead of fabric softener I use Downy Rinse and Refresh to release any extra soap and PH balance the fabric without heavy perfumes. After multiple loads and lots of experimentation using the same soap and rinse additive my clothes dont smell clean and I can feel a residue. My laundry is simply not as clean as I expect it to be. On the plus side it has the flexibility of multiple wash settings and Ive used most of them to test the machine. It washed my handmade queen size quilt and after a 90 minute wash cycle with extra water it came out beautifully but it didnt smell any better than it did when it went into the machine.

Here is the nutshell version. This machine was installed of Jan 9 2023 and began to malfunction in Feb. That got worse as the weeks went by and I tried emailing texting and calling to get some help. It took months before I finally got a hold of somebody that would help. In the mean time the machine completely quit..It was then determined that there were no parts available to repair and finally a refund was sent and that machine was sent to recycle.

I am pleased with my purchase and am impressed with how quiet it is as well as the ease of setting up the washer to run. Moreover the exterior size matching that of the dryer is pleasantly more compact than a previous smaller one. The turn nob is smooth and requires little to no pressure to turn while not having to worry about turning it clockwise or counterclockwise. Finally and most importantly my linen comes out clean and fresh all while using less water and energy. I could not have asked for a better find.

Horrible performance

The washer shows an IE error message. We reduced the height of the drain hose in the back of the washer as suggested by LG repair services and re-balanced the washer. Nothing has worked to correct the problem. I would like to return the washer but LG is not providing that option. Ive only had it for two weeks so far. My clothes just sit in water. This is a very disappointing experience with a brand new washer.

I tried everything to fix this. Bleach didnt change a thing. Soaking in hot water no luck. IVE HAD THIS WASHER FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS AND IT IS GREAT EXCEPT IN ONE AREA. IT LEAVES A VERY BAD SMELL THAT COVERS MY ENTIRE APARTMENT 16 HOURS AFTER EACH WASH. IVE DONE THE TUB CLEAN AS DIRECTED BUT 16 HOURS AFTER THE TUB CLEAN WITHOUT WASHING ANY CLOTHES IT STILL FILLS MY HOME WITH A VERY BAD ODOR. Poor Service and Delivery. Machine Fine.

Machine is generally as expected but am overall unhappy with the purchase and customer service. The lid will only stay open if it is completely upright so you need to ensure that you have have roughly an additional 20 inches of space above the dimensions for it to stay open for hands-free loading. Customer service was poor. Price had changed before I received the unit and they refused to do anything about it. Recommended that I return the unit and pay the restocking fee even though I hadnt received the unit yet. Redirected me to the Korean support team LGCNS which was not friendly or helpful. Delivery was OK but they left the floor very wet and dirty. We were able to clean around the unit but of course couldnt clean underneath given there is now a washer there. Also the dump hose length is too short so we are limited in how we can position the washer. Cannot speak to reliability yet as we just received the machine.

I dont need am appliance that can calculate a re-entry vector I need a washing machine that will do all the simple things. This thing is so frustrating I need a martini and a hydroxizine so I dont take a hammer to it. I should not have to search YouTube for a video to learn how to do a simple rinse and spin. I need a washing machine that will let me add water to any cycle. This model switches to Deep Wash if I try. I do not need to Deep Wash my kitchen towels. I do not need to Deep Wash my jeans. I do not need to Deep Wash my sheets. And the bedding cycle fills the entire drum with water no matter how many sheets you put it. Thats about 40 gallons of water I swear some of these machines must be designed by men who have never done laundry in their lives. Its infuriating. The manual is useless. I would return it if I could

I have had this machine for two weeks and still learning which settings to use for particular items. Also wish my washer had a towel setting which it does not. Runs quietly. Delicate cycle for lightly soiled shirts and tops is wonderful. Clothes are not all knotted up.

FINALLY

I say finally its time for 11 years were had a front load washer and I got so tired of socks and underwear tumbling out upon the door opening. We found ourselves in need of a new washer and wed already decided it would be a top loader. We went to Home Depot and became educated on every model. We decided on the LG. To name a few standout features the inside tub walls has far more raised bump-outs to do a more thorough job of cleaning your clothes secondly different than most other brands the lid is high grade plastic assuring the hinges and bottom of the lid will not rust from constant contact with water as most others are metal sure to rust over time. Lastly LG offers a excellent warranty. We are completely satisfied with our purchase and looking forward to the matching dryer arriving soon.
